By registering for or using LankanParis, you agree to the terms outlined in this Privacy Policy. This platform is intended for users aged 16 and older.

We collect personal information to provide a seamless experience for competitors, judges, administrators, and voters. The types of data we collect include:

Account and registration data: full name, email address, date of birth (to verify the age requirement of 16 and above), phone number, and a secure password.

Competitor profile and media: profile pictures, performance videos, song choices, and short biographies submitted by participants.

Voting and interaction data: votes cast, comments, ratings provided by judges, and competition engagement history.

Technical data: IP address, browser type, device information, operating system, and app usage logs collected automatically when you access the platform.

Our website uses your browser’s local storage to remember your login session, your account details, an in-progress registration draft, and your light or dark theme preference. A saved draft can contain personal details and references to files you have uploaded, so that you can return to your registration on the same browser.

You can clear this information through your browser’s site-data settings. Doing so may sign you out and remove locally saved progress; it does not delete information already sent to our servers. Sign out on shared devices and clear site data when appropriate.

We use the collected data for the following operational and promotional purposes:

Platform management: to manage user accounts, authenticate logins, and enforce our age restriction policy (16+).

Competition execution: to facilitate competitor registration, enable judges to review and score performances, and process public voting.

Communication: to send you updates regarding your registration status, competition schedules, results, and important platform announcements.

Platform improvement: to analyze user activity, troubleshoot technical issues, and enhance the overall user experience.

Public display: competitor names, profile photos, performance media, and competition scores or rankings may be displayed publicly on the platform for voting and judging purposes.

Service providers: with trusted third-party vendors who assist us in operating our app, hosting data, or managing technical infrastructure under strict confidentiality agreements.

Legal compliance: if required by law, court order, or governmental regulation, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of LankanParis, our users, or others.

We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, please note that no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.

Please do not send passwords, one-time verification codes, or identity documents through our contact form or by email.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you have certain rights regarding your personal data:

Access and update: you can access and update your account information directly through your profile settings.

Data deletion: you can delete your account at any time from the Profile screen in the LankanParis app. This immediately and permanently removes your account, your application, your uploaded files, and associated votes and scores. You can also ask our support team to delete your account for you.

LankanParis is strictly designed for individuals aged 16 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 16. If we discover that a user is under 16, we will take immediate steps to terminate the account and delete their data.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted within the app along with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. This version is effective from 24 September 2026.
